Crail Festival 2010

by Susan on 30 March 2010

Very exicting news dropped through the letterbox this morning at Sandcastle Holidays head office…the Crail Festival Society‘s newsletter about this year’s Crail Festival, which will be held from 20th – 31st July 2010.

It’s going under the title of Crail 700 – because in 1310 King Robert the Bruce conferred Royal Burgh status on the town of Crail. Robert the Bruce awarded the right to hold a market on a Sunday in the Marketgate, so this year’s 2010 Festival will start with a Grand Opening in the very same Marketgate – 700 years on.

More news to follow, but for now I can reveal that Eddi Reader will be performing in Concert in the Grande Finale of the Festival. You can find Eddi Reader on Twitter for her own updates. You heard it here first!
