I’d forgotten just how wonderful the wild roses smell in the sunshine as you walk the Roome Bay to Castle Walk section of the Fife Coastal Path at Crail. This is our favourite route to the shops in Crail, and usually walked at least once a day when we’re here on holiday.
A chance last minute addition to our luggage for this visit to Sandcastle Cottage was a copy of Dorling Kindersley’s “Wild Flowers” from their Pocket Nature series, so I’ve been trying to identify some of the many varieties you can see in this short section of the Fife Coastal Path.
