The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship takes place this year from October 3 – 6, 2024 over Kingsbarns Golf Links, The Old Course St Andrews and Carnoustie. Accommodation for the Dunhill Links Championship – Sandcastle Cottage in Crail is only a 15 minute drive/bus ride to Kingsbarns and a 30 minute drive/bus ride to St Andrews Links. The cottage can accommodate up to 5 adults and is located in the centre of Crail within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and Crail’s historic harbour.

The championship consists of two competitions, a professional tournament open to the world’s professional golfers and a team competition which features celebrities and amateur golfers playing alongside professionals.
Professionals who have played in the championship in the past include Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Ernie Els, Nick Faldo, Matt Fitzpatrick, Padraig Harrington and Colin Montgomery. Celebrities include Michael Douglas, Samuel L Jackson, Huey Lewis, Hugh Grant and Justin Timberlake. The first championship was staged in St Andrews back in 1985 and has been supporting golf in the town for 37 years

Two minutes down the beach path takes you to Roome Bay where you may be fortunate to spot Dolphins or Gannets diving for fish.
