Walk to the shops on your self-catering holiday
The village of Crail is only 10 miles from St Andrews and offers a unique way of shopping which has all but died out in many towns and cities in the UK. This is the way our grandparents used to shop, buying meat from the butcher, bread from the baker, fruit from the greengrocer and fish from the fishmonger. Many of our guests at Sandcastle Cottage like to walk sections of the Fife Coastal Path, and it’s easy to do so from the front door of the cottage where you can join the path at Crail Doo’cot and head towards either St Andrews or Anstruther. Read more
